چکیده

Stimulated Raman scattering (SRS) microscopy has gained popularity in recent years due to its linearity molecule concentration and laser intensity, the lack of nonresonant background that affects analogous technique, coherent anti-Stokes scattering. However, SRS is not a background-free technique. In fact, there are other optical processes – nonlinear transient absorption can be detrimental contrast sensitivity microscopy. this review, we provide description these competing present an up-to-date current solutions minimize their effect on measurements.

Multicolor stimulated Raman scattering microscopy

Stimulated Raman scattering (SRS) microscopy has opened up a wide range of biochemical imaging applications by probing a particular Raman-active molecule vibrational mode in the specimen. However, the original implementation with picosecond pulse excitation can only realize rapid chemical mapping with a single Raman band. Here we present a novel SRS microscopic technique using a grating-based p...

Background-free stimulated Raman spectroscopy and microscopy.

We propose a three-color, double-modulation scheme for the background-free detection of stimulated Raman scattering (SRS). We call the scheme stimulated Raman gain and opposite loss detection (SRGOLD). It exploits the symmetric nature of potential parasitic signals (cross phase modulation, two-photon absorption, and thermal effects) to the end of suppressing them. Conversely, the antisymmetric ...

Imaging drug delivery to skin with stimulated Raman scattering microscopy.

Efficient drug delivery to the skin is essential for the treatment of major dermatologic diseases, such as eczema, psoriasis and acne. However, many compounds penetrate the skin barrier poorly and require optimized formulations to ensure their bioavailability. Here, stimulated Raman scattering (SRS) microscopy, a recently developed, label-free chemical imaging tool, is used to acquire high reso...

Imaging chemistry inside living cells by stimulated Raman scattering microscopy.

Stimulated Raman scattering (SRS) microscopy is a vibrational imaging platform developed to visualize chemical content of a biological sample based on molecular vibrational fingerprints. With high-speed, high-sensitivity, and three-dimensional sectioning capability, SRS microscopy has been used to study chemical distribution, molecular transport, and metabolic conversion in living cells in a la...

Vibrational imaging based on stimulated Raman scattering microscopy

A stimulated Raman scattering microscope with near-infrared picosecond laser pulses at high repetition rates (76MHz) and radio-frequency lock-in detection is accomplished. Based on stimulated Raman loss detection, we demonstrate noninvasive point-by-point vibrational mapping of chemical and biological samples with high sensitivity and without the requirement for labeling of the sample with natu...
